A ruling by the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention (UNGWAD) declared WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange’s three-and-a-half years of self-confinement at the Ecuadorian embassy as “arbitrary detention” and made Sweden and the UK responsible for it.
