The scandal came about following reports of defense budget allegedly misappropriated for paying sponsored military tributes by professional sports teams instead of spending it on training and recruiting.

Facebook Gives More Data Requests to US Government Without Telling Its Users

In a bid to increase transparency with its users, Facebook has just released its biannual Government Requests Report for the second half of 2015 revealing. The report revealed a 13% rise of mainly law enforcement requests from the first half of that same year containing gag orders which prohibit the company from informing Facebook users regarding their requests.
