Marco Polo was a drama web TV series inspired by the life of Marco Polo in the government of Kublai Khan, the Khagan of the Mongol Empire and the founder of the Yuan Dynasty. The first season of the show was released on the Netflix on 12 December 2014. John Fusco was the director and the writer of the series and produced by The Weinstein Company. Marco Polo was renewed by Netflix on 7 January 2015 for 10 episode and the second season was premiered on 1 July 2016. Recently, Netflix announced that they had cancelled Marco Polo after two seasons.
