Apple senior executive Jonathan Ive has officially assumed the role of "Chief Design Officer" at the company. He was promoted from his previous role "Senior Vice President of Design."
Jony Ive, Apple's top designer is giving up day-to-day managerial duties for a newly created position of Chief Design Officer. The company CEO Tim Cook congratulated Ive on the new role.
Samsung has hired a new design leader who is from Tangerine - the design firm founded by Apple's senior VP of design Jony Ive. Lee Don-tae will be the new global design team leader who used to be co-president of Tangerine.
