NBA has finally allowed basketball clubs to sell jersey adverts to company sponsors in a lucrative sponsorship option that’s expected to generate as much as $150 million annually. Global figures estimate the worldwide sports sponsorship revenue at $45.3 bn.
NBA owners are expected to approve measure permitting ad placements on jersey shirts. Half of the earned ad money goes to the team while the other half goes to the league’s revenue-sharing coffers.
