Another tablet? Seriously Samsung? Oh Wait! It’s Samsung right? New tablets, same designs, same old boredom for customers? Samsung apparently on Wednesday launched its ‘Made in India’ tablet in the country, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Iris or so it’s called and is priced at Rs. 13,499. The highlight of the tablet which is actually targeted at government and corporate employees due to its biometric authentication features along with bearing an iris scanner that is Aadhaar, STQC, and UIDAI certified. However, Samsung feels it’s too soon to actually release some information like release schedule etc. We know nothing as of now.

Google announced two new messaging apps – the text-based Allo and a video-calling app called Duo. While Google announced that Allo would support end-to-end encryption, that feature will be presented as an option to users, and will not be on by default. This has prompted a negative response from none other than NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden.According to Snowden, Google should have activated end-to-end encryption by default. Popular messaging apps such as Telegram, Apple FaceTime, WhatsApp among others have end-to-end encryption turned on by default. Snowden calls it ‘dangerous’ and has stated that the app should be avoided for now.
