Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Release Date and Rumors: Terabyte Version Believed to Drop in July

Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 tablets are likely to be launched in July, suggest various reports citing unnamed company sources.

According to Realty Today, Microsoft could unveil the tablet at Game Developers Conference 2015 which is scheduled to begin March 2. Given the possibility that the tablets may be shipped with Windows 10, attendees at the conference may also get to see Microsoft's latest operating system in its full glory.

The mounting hype surrounding the device's unveiling at the GDC, speculation suggestions the device would be powered by the latest Intel Broadwell M processors that are piped to set benchmarks in energy efficiency and design. Additionally, the talk in the recent days has centered on Surface Pro 4's storage.

While most reports hint at storage similar to what Surface Pro 3 tablets come with i.e. 64 GB upwards to 512 GB, there is anticipation that Microsoft could surprise with a 1 TB version. This is expected to benefit Xbox game streaming.

Surface Pro 4 rumors began doing the rounds ever since Microsoft slashed prices of Surface Pro 3 last year despite the device's demand, indicated by its sales performances. The price cut was done, assumedly to herald the arrival of a new device which could be priced very competitively as Microsoft is keen to tap the market earlier generation Surface tablets have created.
