It is being speculated that the iPad Mini 4 would be released sometime between April to July this year. Since the iPad Mini 3 came out with minor updates over iPad Mini 2, a next version of iPad Mini is highly anticipated. Rumors also suggest that the iPad Mini 4 might be launched alongside the rumored Apple iPad Pro.

Compared with iPad Mini 2, the iPad Mini 3 only added Touch ID fingerprint sensor and golden color variant. Hence it might make sense for Apple to discontinue the iPad Mini 3 after launching the iPad Mini 4.

According to rumors, the iPad Mini 2 will continue to be sold, as its popularity has been less affected by the iPad Mini 3 launch.

Rumors also suggest that Apple is going to launch a larger version of iPad called iPad Pro or iPad Air Plus by April.

iPad Mini 4 Specs (According to Rumors)

According to rumors, the iPad Mini 4 will be powered by the same A8X CPU that is present in the iPad Air 2. However, according to Gospel Herald, Apple might include a more powerful A8 CPU. The chipset will be coupled with a 2GB of RAM.

The improved CPU and RAM are expected to improve the battery performance of the unreleased iPad Mini 4, IB Times report.

According to PC Advisor, like the iPad Air 2, the iPad Mini 4 will also be blessed with a laminated display.
