Each iteration of Surface Pro hybrid tablet/computer is better than the previous version. Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 is one of the most anticipated devices on this year. Here are some updates and rumors that we have gathered so far regarding the tablet from Microsoft:

Surface Pro 4 Release Date

Reasonably, Surface Pro 4 should be launched in October, as around the same time Windows 10 will be publicly released. Also that would be the shopping season so for Microsoft it certainly makes sense to release a new device with a completely new OS.

However, there are also rumors floating that Microsoft might release the Surface Pro 4 as early as around July. The Christian Times report that the company is allegedly planning to unveil the new Pro during the March Game Developers conference.

Surface Pro 4 Design

It is expected that the new Pro will measure 290 mm by 201 mm by 9.1 mm - in other words similarly impressive as the Surface Pro 3 tablets. It would weigh about 800 grams this is because of the build of the tablet, which will feature a magnesium alloy on the outside.

The Screen resolution is expected to be 2160 by 1440 with 216 PPI. Furthermore, users of this device will be treated to the eDP ClearType HD technology, support for three peripheral displays as well as an aspect ratio of 3:2, TheFuseJoplin reported.

Surface Pro 4 Performance

According to rumors, The Surface Pro 4 should sport an extremely powerful Intel Core M processor coupled with RAM of 16GB. The upcoming Surface Pro 4 should also support LTE.

Surface Pro 4 Price

Surface Pro 3 costs around $800 so the next version of tablet is not going to be any cheaper and it would be safe to assume that the Pro 4 will cost $1000 for the lower variant.
