According to rumors, Apple's massive tablet - iPad Pro (or iPad Plus for some) - is expected to be released in Q2 of 2015 or as early as April. The big-screen tablet launch might accompany with the iPad Mini 4.

There's no cent percent confirmation from Apple that there indeed exists a product called iPad Pro (or iPad Plus), however, industry is abuzz with the speculations about the specifications of the device.

If at all launched, iPad Pro will be a big screen iPad, similar to iPad Air 2, but a lot thinner and lighter. It is also expected to sport 7mm profile and could end up weighing just 700 grams. The device will have a 12-inch screen display with 2k resolution.

Recently an image of alleged iPad Pro was released on the Chinese media site - Weibo.

Productivity is the prime reason, we can think of, behind the big-screen iPad. The iPad and a more powerful iPad Air has been in the market for quite sometime but they are yet to be used for real work, in a more effective manner.

iPad Pro As Hybrid?

According to some rumors, the iPad Pro might be released as a hybrid tablet/laptop that comes with a detachable keyboard - similar to the Microsoft Surface Pro series. However, Tim Cook has famously shot down the idea of MacBook/iPad hybrid, but it is also worth noting that Steve Jobs famously dismissed the mini tablets in the past and yet we love our iPad Mini.

Will the iPad Pro be released and if at all, will it be adopted as a primary work tool? We need to wait and watch. What do you think? Let's know in the comments.
