TLC's 'Sister Wives' has been picked up for another season. Current season's finale is expected to feature divorce of patriarch Kody Brown and his first wife Meri.

According to Design & Trend a season 5 finale teaser released by TLC shows Meri announcing her decision to divorce polygamist Kody. The family comprising three other wives of Kody, decided that it was that his youngest wife Robyn would marry him. Kody is legally married to Meri, his first wife, but claimed his other unions are spiritual marriages. Legally marrying Robyn means her children will can avail benefits like insurance.

The teaser also shows Meri in tears as she announces her decision. The two-hour season finale will be telecast on March 1.

Inquisitr reports that the decision to swap wives was taken for the children even as it maintained that the divorce actually happened last fall.

"We have chosen to legally restructure our family. We made this decision together as a family. We are grateful to our family, friends and fans for all their love and support," a statement from Brown family quoted by Inquisitr, said.

The two-hour finale will reportedly feature interviews with the cast where all topics will be discussed, no-holds barred.

Questions are now being raised about Meri's status after her divorce. While she will not be Kody's legal wife, she will remain as one of the sisters, it was revealed.
