Emma Watson has not been successful in containing her excitement as she aired on Facebook that she will play the role of 'Belle' in Disney's upcoming live-action version of the fairytale classic "Beauty And The Beast."

According to Christian Today, Watson posted on her Facebook saying: "I'm finally able to tell you ... that I will be playing Belle in Disney's new live-action Beauty and the Beast! It was such a big part of my growing up, it almost feels surreal that I'll get to dance to 'Be Our Guest' and sing 'Something There.' My six year old self is on the ceiling - heart bursting. Time to start some singing lessons. I can't wait for you to see it."

The film's script is said to be a collaboration of Spiliotipoulos and Stephen Chbosky. The Twilight saga director Bill Condon will also be working with Emma Watson and the rest of the cast who will start working on the project sometime this year.

Time further added that the movie will be produced by Mandeville Films' with David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman.

Speculations as to who will play Watson's Beast have also been circulating around.

IschoolGuide said that The Tracking Board has been considering the Notebook hero, Ryan Gosling who will play the brutish but kind-hearted Beast. However, these reports are yet to be confirmed by Disney's official announcements.

Aside from Beauty and the Beast, Disney will also be releasing "Cinderella" said to hit theaters on March this year. A non-animated version of the "Jungle Book" will also be released sometime 2016.
