Taylor Swift is a princess of pop, according to the reigning Queen of Pop, Madonna.

"It's good to have some princesses [of pop]. It means there's a lot of pretty dresses around," Madonna told Richard Wilkins of Australia's Today show in regards to the young female singers, such as Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry before singling out the "1989" songstress. "I like Taylor Swift. I think she writes some really catchy pop songs. I can't get them out of my head."

Shortly after the 25-year-old "Blank Space" singer heard the compliment, she posted on Tumblr, "Thanks now I'm dead" followed by "#HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DEAL WITH THIS. #BE COOL TAYLOR STOP BEING EMBARRASSING."

Madonna, 56, will release her 13th studio album, Rebel Heart in March. Six tracks in the album have already been released. Madonna is not the first artist to commend Swift's work. Lady Gaga revealed in December to Howard Stern that she was a fan of Swift. More recently, English singer-songwriter Sam Smith complimented the star as well.

"Taylor Swift is amazing...She's a role model," Smith stated in the February issue of GQ magazine. "I really respect her. And she manages to sell a lot of records and make a lot of people happy financially, but also to keep that soulfulness, that honesty."

Just yesterday, Swift's Twitter and Instagram accounts were hacked. One hacker threatened to release nude photos of the singer, to which, she replied via Twitter, "PS any hackers saying they have 'nudes'? Psssh you'd love that wouldn't you! Have fun photoshopping cause you got NOTHING."

Swift recently made history with her latest album, "1989," which passed the four million sales milestone within the United States.
