Glenn Howerton who portrays the role of Dennis in "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" may leave the show. The series just had its season finale and the turn of events on the show has hinted for Dennis' character not coming back.

According to a report, Howerton shared that he may not be returning for "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" Season 13. He noted that the decision that he may not return is personal and has nothing to do with his relationship with the cast and crew of the show. It is likely that once the 13th season comes in, Howerton may not be a part of it.

A report indicated that Howerton currently signed in a deal for NBC. The show is yet untitled and he will star together with Patton Oswalt. This is the first time in 12 years that Howerton is not ready to commit to returning for "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia."

It is indicated that with the speculations of Howerton not returning for "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" Dennis' character needed to leave for a while. It can be recalled that the finale episode of Season 12 hinted of Dennis leaving. It has been indicated that he may leave for a while to be with family.

NBC's new show that will star Howerton is already in development and this has coincided with his leaving "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." Seth Meyers created this new show on NBC that will star Howerton.This new comedy show will center on Jack who is to be portrayed by Howerton.

Meanwhile, "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" has been renewed for two more seasons. The show will feature the characters and Howerton may not be in it. In the meantime, there may be some changes to the decision but as of this time, Howerton is unclear about coming back.
