Jared Leto is in talks to star in "Tron 3." Disney is set to do a reboot for the film right after "Tron: Legacy" in 2010.  And fans can't help but be excited with the third installment of the movie to be shown.

According to a report, "Tron: Legacy" revived the film in 2010 that was based from the original film in the 1980's. It is indicated that Disney cancelled the third film that was nearly finished in May 2015. This time, Disney is set to do a reboot of the film and has eyed Jared Leto to do the lead role.

It is also hinted that "Tron 3" will not be a sequel from the original film but it will have a plot taken out from the cancelled script. Leto is set to portray the role of Ares, a character that has been part of the script but has not appeared in the film from the previous franchise.

A report indicated that there has been no writer and filmmaker that have signed in for the upcoming "Tron 3." The film will be produced by Justin Springer who previously co-produced the "Tron" movie. The Tron film that was aired in 2010 had been a follow-up from the original one that was filmed in 1982.

The 2010 "Tron: Legacy" starred Jeff Bridges and Bruce Bosleithner. It also was directed by Joseph Kosinski. Disney plans to set out a third reboot of the film because of its high rating and there are also followers for the film.

Meanwhile, it is reported that the film that was cancelled in 2015 was supposed to be titled "Tron: Ascension." Kosinski shared that Tron 3 has only gone into a "cryogenic freeze" The script is just there and it is not gone. This time, it will be re-opened and will be aired. However, there has been no confirmation as of yet on the other stars to join "Tron 3."
