A new promo trailer for "The Originals" Season 4 is out. The series picks up five years right after the finale episode of Season 3 concluded.

Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Hope (Summer Fontana) are the only ones left for the Mikaelsons in "The Originals" Season 4. A five year time jump in the series shows that Hope is all grown up in the upcoming season. Hope is the daughter of Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley and is believed to be more powerful than Klaus.

The other members of the Miakelson family are still held captive by Marcel (Charles Michael Davis). Hayley is trying her best to find a cure so to free the others from the curse. Hayley may lead to a confrontation with Marcel in "The Originals" Season 4 because the villain does not want any of the Mikaelson's alive.

In the meantime, there are speculations that "The Originals" Season 4 will be the last for the series. This has been due to the show not having an early renewal on the CW Network. However, CW President Mark Pedowitz shares that the renewal for the series will be a discussion between the showrunner and the network. It will be decided and he hopes that the series does continue.

Additionally, the exit of the series showrunner, Michael Narducci may also be one of the reasons why there may not be a renewal for the series. It can be recalled that Narducci stopped being the showrunner last month because of an offer from ABC.

Meanwhile, "The Originals" Season 4 will bring in a new villain that has been an enemy of the Mikaelson's for several years. It also has been hinted that Hope is the one that can save Klaus in the upcoming season. She happens to have a stronger power than any of them since she is a hybrid child.

The new promo for "The Originals" Season 4 gives a glimpse on what is awaiting for the Mikaelsons once the series returns on March 17.
