'The Good Place' News & Update: Series Renewed For Season 2 By NBC; 13 Episodes Expected

"The Good Place" has been renewed for season 2 by NBC. The comedy series got an early renewal from the network.

According to a report, "The Good Place" has 13 episodes for its second season. The series recently concluded its first season and with high ratings it is going on to the next. This is the second early renewal for the network following the series 'This Is Us.'

Jennifer Salke, President of NBC Entertainment shares that the series creator Mike Schur has brought in to the network a great comedy series. She further compliments Shur in having a fertile and imaginative mind that shows in the storyline of "The Good Place."

It is reported that the first season of "The Good Place" gathered an average of 1.9 rating among adults. Now that the second season is in place, fans can expect the series to give out the same humor as the first.

The NBC network team is anticipating on where the characters will lead the story for "The Good Place" Season 2. Salke also expressed her gratitude towards the characters and to the show's creator on how the first season has been delivered.

Meanwhile, the Good Place is a story of Eleanor (Kristen Bell) who accidentally finds herself in heaven. She finds herself in another woman also named Eleanor who is in hell. Ted Danson is also part of the show and plays the role of Mike.

The actors have been reported to do well in their comedy acts for the show "The Good Place." The storytelling of the series also is being commended since it narrates clarity for the story. Fans can expect the storytelling to move on to a good plot in the second season.

 As of this time, there is no confirmation of a specific air date for "The Good Place" Season 2. In the meantime, it has been renewed as is one to look forward to.
