Ed Sheeran Releases new songs for 2017 and it features Shape of You and Castle on the Hill. This is a welcome news for Sheeran fans after his self-imposed break on social media last December 13, 2015. Now he is back on the scene with two of the newest songs he has to offer.

After waiting for about two years, fans can't help but feel excited with the two songs he has in store. On his Instagram account, he said that because he has been gone for quite some time, he is giving fans not one but two singles - fans are definitely not complaining.

Sheeran has written "Shape of You" with Johnny McDaid and Steve Mac. The song talks about how there's no love that can be found in a club so going to the bar is better. There you can talk while downing a few shots. The songs is not the usual beat you hear from Sheeran as it goes with a different rhythm.

"Castle on the Hill" is a bit upbeat as well and talked about relationships made and broken. It shows a more mature Sheeran and on how he "wants to go home" and that he is back. The song talked a lot about the past and gave glimpses of what the future will be. This song was produced in collaboration with Benny Blanco.

Both songs are a bit different from the usual but it shows off a different Sheeran - mature and reinvented. He has said that he has been working hard for the new album and wants to show fans how passionate he is with his music. Apparently, the singer wants fans to see "two different sides to his music" He has been dropping hints on his social media accounts about what to expect in the next few days. He has even shared snippets of his new songs.
