"Fargo" Season 3 is to introduce a new character once the season begins. It is confirmed that David Thewlis is to join the series as V.M. Vargas and is to be a series regular.

V.M. Vargas is described to be a mysterious guy who is a loner. He is the one who sends out the message to Emmit (Ewan McGregor) that he has made partners with his own employers. The character will have more to go through in the upcoming season.

It is already revealed that "Fargo" Season 3 happens years after the first season. The events that will unfold in the upcoming season are also to happen decades after the second season. Emmit is a real estate and family man. He considers his story to be a success.

The added character which is played by Thewlis in "Fargo" Season 3 plays an important part in the series. There are twists to be expected and the connection from the first season may be relevant in the upcoming season.

It is already reported that filming for Fargo Season 3 is underway. Thewlis has portrayed important characters in films. He portrayed Remus Lupin in the Harry Potter franchise. He is also set to appear in the upcoming Wonder Woman film.

Aside from Thewlis, there are also other additional characters to join "Fargo" Season 3. Scoot McNairy is confirmed to be in the show and portrays the role of Maurice LeFay. He is a stoner that has some criminal history.

Additionally, Emmit's right-hand-man Sy Feltz will be played by Michael Stuhlbarg. Karan Soni is Dr. Homer Gilruth who is a scientist in the series. Fred Melamed plays the role of Howard Zimmerman who happens to be a mover who is known in making a profit out of it.

The new characters added are set to make the events of "Fargo" Season 3 all interesting. The series will return in 2017.
