"One Piece" manga is not getting a new chapter this week but we have gathered some information about the upcoming installment of the hit series. Apparently, the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine had to change its schedule for the holidays, thus, the delay in the release of new chapters. If you'd like to know when "One Piece" will return, please continue reading below.

As per One Piece Podcast, "One Piece" Chapter 850 release date is scheduled on Dec. 26. The chapter is expected to pick from the events of the previous release where a major cliffhanger was left, involving a severely wounded Reiju. Several speculations emerged about who attacked the Vinsmoke and what was the reason for the assault but nothing has been confirmed as of this posting.

Moreover, there will be another break after the launch of "One Piece" Chapter 850. The 851st chapter of the well-celebrated manga is expected to come out on Jan. 9, 2017. The final chapters of the "Whole Cake Island" arc are expected to be told at a fast pace as new arcs have been confirmed to be released next year.

As per a report from the same publishing, "One Piece" creator Eiichiro Oda announced that the manga is entering the "Reverie" and the "Wano" arcs during Shueisha's annual fan event called the Jump Festa. It was made clear that the 'Whole Cake Island" arc will still be continued in early 2017 but the two new arcs will definitely debut in the same year. No details were revealed as to what the new arcs will highlight, however.

Meanwhile, it was also confirmed that a new "One Piece" magazine is set to launch in the near future. Though nothing specific was mentioned about who will be the center of the plot, it was revealed that the novel will tell the story of a "flame-flame fruit user." It is speculated that the unheard story is about Ace or Sabo.

"One Piece" fans, as it seems, are in for exciting surprises in 2017. Creator Oda has never failed to give back to its fans by bringing in more thrilling stories about the adventures of the Straw Hat Pirates, especially the fan-favorite Monkey D. Luffy.
