Apple takes its design to a whole new level as they reveal an "All Curved Display" for new Apple iPhone that will be launched in 2017. It makes it more exciting as iPhone 8 is said to feature an Edgeless Display however, this technical advancement has its good and bad aspects.

The edgeless display makes the iPhone 8 more appealing as it gives more on screen space. The OLED version of the new iPhone will be curved and made of plastic from Samsung Display. They are capable of supplying more or less than 100 million units of curved OLED displays to Apple. There are two aspects of this new design that we need to consider and its up to you if this feature is beneficial or not for everyday use.

1) The All Curved Display - Ergonomic wise, this feature brings comfort to the hands because its smooth to hold as it fits to the hands firmly however, it may detect unwanted gestures or touches on the side of the iPhone. Aesthetically, this design is appealing to the eyes because it looks sleek and professional to look at. Its beauty pays a price of a little discomfort that Apple is aware of and they are working on a new "Sensing Technology" to put a remedy to this.

2) The Plastic OLED Panel - This material has its pros and cons like any other matter. Plastic OLED is shatterproof and light however, this material is soft and vulnerable to scratches. It doesnt offer any protection to the new iPhone at all, specially when its curved.

Either way, its up to the end user to judge if this new iPhone 8 design is indeed beneficial or not. But in general, this new feature is excellent if Apple retains its glass screen.
