Final Fantasy's 30th Anniversary Event on January 31, 2017!

The popular RPG franchise, Final Fantasy will be celebrating its 30th anniversary next year. Square Enix already made plans to celebrate the anniversary by holding a ceremony to officially open the celebration.

According to TechnoBuffalo, Square Enix will be holding an Opening Ceremony to formally open the celebration of Final Fantasy's 30th anniversary. The event will be held on January 31, 2017, at Toho Cinema in Roppongi Hills. No further details have been revealed as to what will be the activities in this event. Several speakers will be invited to this event to share their thoughts on the one of the longest running RPG franchises. This event will also inform fans of the Final Fantasy franchise of the projects that are associated with the 30th anniversary. Square Enix will be inviting two hundred guests to attend the event. They'll be most likely to pick out from the registered fans on their website. Earlier, Square Enix teased the public of their plans to celebrate Final Fantasy's 30th anniversary. A lot of plans are set for fans of the Final Fantasy franchise. Some of Square Enix's plans revealed that they'll be doing remakes to some of the popular Final Fantasy titles. There's also a compilation disc where the first nine titles of the Final Fantasy series will be packed. The compilation disc is scheduled for release for the Playstation 4 and the Playstation Vita.

Aside from the compilation disc, there are also plans on translating the original Final Fantasy I and II to English. The first two games were released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) back in 1997. The translation will feature full content of the first two games and will retain the original content. Some of the content of the original Final Fantasy I and II were cut when the game is first shipped overseas back in 1987 and 1988 respectively.

Square Enix also released the official website for the 30th anniversary ahead. Aside from the 30th anniversary of the Final Fantasy franchise, Final Fantasy VII will also be celebrating its 20th anniversary next year.
