The gaming "Puritans" will be delighted to know that one of their biggest pet peeves in "Street Fighter V" is now going to be dealt with accordingly. Rage quitters are about to wear a scarlet letter.

Capcom, the video game developer for "Street Fighter V," has finally come through the nagging concern for most gamers and found a way to curb the problem of rage quitting.

What Is Rage Quitting?

Imagine, you're playing a one-on-one game with someone and both parties waged some reward for the victor. And, just when you were having a comfortable lead, and poised to winning it all, your opponent quits and walks home rendering the match without official outcome. Yeah, it's quite a bummer, right?

Same goes for rage quitting while playing "Street Fighter V." Some gamers leave the game intentionally when they are about to get beat in order to retain their Ranked Match points, but denying their winning opponent of theirs.

For the gaming enthusiasts, it's almost a given that they have encountered a rage quitter or two while playing video games, like "Street Fighter V." And, it is never fun to be at the other end of this unfair practice. Unless, of course, you count the feeling of pride one can get after forcing your opponent to quit. While that's one way of looking at it, you'd still rather have the reward for nailing the match.

Rage Quitters Will Be Branded As Such For Everyone To See

It seems like Capcom has figured out a way on how to resolve the problem of rage quitting. The latest season 2 DLC update for "Street Fighter V" will address the issue by penalizing the rage-quitters through branding them with a rage quitter profile icon, says GameSpot.

Now, anyone can spot a rage quitter when they encounter one, saving themselves from the hassle of playing a match only to be ditched halfway through it. "Special icons will be displayed on the Fighter Profiles of players who frequently disconnect, as well as those who never do, making it easier for players with the same icon to battle against each other," as written on the "Street Fighter V" leaked patch notes and shared via NeoGAF.

It also added that other penalties will be incurred by rage quitters like LP (League Points) reduction and temporary matchmaking restrictions. Now, this should make "Street Fighter V" fans happy, and hopefully the rage quitters quit rage quitting.
