Speculations are mounting time and again regarding the Galaxy S8. This time there are suggestions that the next generation Samsung flagship may feature a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Apart from this, the Smartphone may have advanced 3D touch and all new Viv or Google assistant.

A dedicated Sensor Is Needed

Initially, the fingerprint sensor was tested. While embedded in the display it has proven inaccurate. As already stated there shall be no home button as the entire front of the phone would be a display. The optical fingerprint scanner which was recently announced by the company might debut on Galaxy S8, GSM Arena reports. The Galaxy S8 may also come with iris recognition technology.

Galaxy S8 Will have its Own Personal Assistant

The South Korean tech giant is thinking of abandoning the all new Viv Smart assistant. In fact, it may opt for Google assistant. A patent was shared between Google and Samsung in 2014 which also allowed Samsung to get Android Nougat.

Galaxy S8 will Use Bluetooth 5.0

It would be the first device to use the newly launched Bluetooth 5.0 which is quadruple in range. Its speed is double and the broadcast message capacity is double as compared to Bluetooth 4.2.

Reports on BGR suggest that Samsung might not increase the resolution of Galaxy S8's display. This device will feature the same resolution as that of the Galaxy S7 but this does not signify that everything will be same as compared to the Galaxy S7.

The Galaxy S8 will feature a 5.7-inch screen with AMOLED display with 4K resolution. Other variant the Galaxy S8 Plus may have a 6.1-inch screen with edge to edge display. The device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor having 6GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Galaxy S8 might be released at the Mobile World Congress to be held in February.
