'Blue Blood' Season 7 is currently on a quick Holiday break. CBS's show is scheduled to return with its 11th episode of the season on January 6th, 2017.

Following 'Blue Bloods' Season 7, Episode 10 titled "Unbearable Loss", the show will return with episode 11 titled "Genetics". The synopsis for the episode reads:

"When Eddie and Jamie become overly involved in a complicated adoption case between the birth and adoptive parents, they ask Erin to help them settle the dispute without going to court. Also, Frank looks into reports of NYPD cadets cheating on their psychological exams, and Danny learns that Jack plans to enlist in the Marines after graduation."

The episode was written by none other than Allie Solomon herself. Some speculations about the episode state that this could possibly be the episode where fans can witness the return of Donnie Wahlberg and Tom Selleck.

However, some rumors are spreading online regarding Tom Selleck's departure from the show. As fans know, Selleck plays in the infamous Frank Reagan on Blue Bloods.

According to Deadline, the 71-year-old actor recently renewed his contract with the show. But the contract is for "Blue Bloods" Season 7 only.

This has led plenty of fans to believe Selleck might not be returning back for the show's eighth season. That is if CBS decides to renew the show's contract. Fans are left to wonder whether "Blue Bloods" could survive without Selleck's character.

Some fans argue that the show has always revolved around Frank Reagan, while some fans beg to differ. If the show does go on without Frank Reagan, there are still other key characters it could focus on such as Danny, Jamie, Eddie and the other Reagan family members. Tom Selleck's departure rumor has yet to be confirmed by the actor himself, nor any member of the show.
