It looks like the extremely popular Nintendo handheld games Pokemon Sun and Moon are getting their own Pokemon Trading Card Game expansion pack.

According to a report by IGN, Pokemon trading cards are officially getting their own Pokemon Sun and Moon expansion pack starting February next year. Introducing more the 140 new cards into the Pokemon trading card system, gamers will be getting 40 brand new Pokemon and a hundred Alolan variants of favorite classics from Pokemon Sun and Moon. Of course, the Pokemon Trading Card Game would also get the different legendary Pokemon in the Pokemon Sun and Moon expansion, Lunala and Solgaleo.

Not only that, but it looks like the Pokemon TCG will also be getting Pokemon-GX, a new super-powered Pokemon that would have a tidal effect on the way the game is played. MMO Examiner also reports that a new card design has been featured in the new set of cards, highlighting the Pokemon Sun and Moon expansion from the rest of the deck.

The TCG Pokemon Sun and Moon expansion will be released in packs of 10 as Boosters. TCG will also be releasing three preconstructed deckof 60 cards designed to help introduce newbies to the game along with the release of the new expansion.

The theme decks and booster packs will also bring with it a card code within each pack, allowing gamers to unlock virtual cards from the expansion so that they can use them when gaming in the online platform of the Pokemon Trading Card Game.

Meanwhile, in other Pokemon Sun and Moon news, it seems like Nintendo's newest generation of Pokemon handheld videogames have topped the game sales charts in the US during its release in November, outselling major releases like Watch Dogs 2, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, Madden NFL 17 and even Titanfall 2. The games come at the number 3 and 4 spot, right behind Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Battlefield 1.
