The Golden Globe 2017 Nominations are full of unexpected revelations. From the contenders, movies, and TV series, no one could have guessed that some of it was mentioned and was notably announced. The most obvious thing during the announcement though was the domination of the new series.

The nominations in 2017 Golden Globe are as follows: for best TV Drama Category, "This Is Us", "Westworld", "The Crown", "Strangers Things" will compete against "Game of Thrones". For the musical/comedy category, "LA La Land", "Florence Foster Jenkins", and "20th Century Women" was nominated and it is dominated by the women - Emma Stone, Meryl Streep, and Annette Bening with Elle Fanning, respectively.

2017 Golden Globe Nominations was subjected to some critics as in the drama category, no female-led films were nominated and it favored the hypermasculine narratives. Also, people were shocked that Tom Hanks wasn't recognized with a lead actor nomination, it's been 2 years since his last nomination and the voters might be having mixed feelings about his new drama.

For some, the 2017 Golden Globe Nominations is the best place to start a very good comeback. Mel Gibson, who was arrested, in 2006 is back in Hollywood and was nominated for his movie "Hacksaw Ridge". He has three nominations - best director, best drama and Andrew Garfield as the best actor. The story of the film revolved around Garfield's character, Desmond T. Doss who was able to save 75 men in the Battle of Okinawa in World War II and was given with Medal of Honor for heroism.

The exciting event, 2017 Golden Globes Award will mark a magical night for the artist who were nominated and the actors who are part of the movies and tv series who were recognized. The Awards night is scheduled on January 8 to be located at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. The ceremony will air live on NBC and Jimmy Fallon has been tapped to host the 2017 Golden Globes.
