"The Winds of Winter" is the most wanted book today. The "A Song of Ice and Fire" readers have been waiting for it for five years and counting. According to reports, the delay was due to George RR Martin's slow writing speed and the story that has become more complicated.

GRRM initially aimed to release the sixth "ASOIAF" book this year but failed. Its TV adaptation, "Game of Thrones" will be airing its final season in 2017 but there is still no concrete release date for "The Winds of Winter."

According to one Reddit user, the delay of "TWOW" is not due to Martin being lazy, it just happens that the story has become more complex and the New Mexican author is now having issues in gathering all the characters towards a meaningful ending.

Per International Business Times, the "ASOIAF" series has too many characters, kingdoms and events that GRRM needs to recall. Also, once the plot has been published, it can't be changed so the genius scribe just needs to continue the story with his creativity. Many are hoping that the quality will be the same with the first five books.

Meanwhile, Martin told Entertainment Weekly that "The Winds of Winter" will bring a dark day in Westeros. The author teases that some of the characters are in dark places and added that it will not be a "happy feel-good" book that readers are hoping to read. Just as winter is cold and things die in this season, the next book will be as cold and dark. A number of characters are certainly doomed in "TWOW."

Per iDigitalTimes, chances are high that Tommen and Myrcella will not make it in "A Dream of Spring." According to the report, Myrcella won't make it out alive from the Martell's. As for Tommen, Daenerys and her dragons will return to Westeros and conquer it. She will win at great cost and will kill Tommen.

In another Reddit thread, many believe that Tommen will die in the next book. However, another speculation suggests that Cersei will kill him. In another Reddit thread, many believe that Tommen will die in the next book. However, another speculation suggests that Cersei will kill him.
