With the "The Walking Dead" Season 7 midseason behind us, what can we expect after their brief hiatus? The series had a bloody end, killing two of their characters - (Spoilers ahoy!) Spencer (Austin Nichols) and Olivia (Ann Mahoney). Will there be more tragedy in the second half of the series? (Warning: The following contain details about "The Walking Dead" Season 7.)

Speaking with Variety, executive producer Gale Ann Hurd revealed spoilers about the upcoming "The Walking Dead" Season 7. When asked if Rick and Daryl can really win against the Saviors, she said that everyone will do what needs to be done. While everyone has spilled blood in the series, the characters are not within the same range. She said that the Saviors will not be complacent, and will fight back. She also teased that winning awards, case in point Critics Choice Award, remains an inspiration to "The Walking Dead" characters, well at least "until they meet their maker." So, that's that.

In the second half of "The Walking Dead" Negan will still be the main antagonist and will remain until Season 8, according to TV Guide. The report also mentions that there will be lots of plotting, with Rick gathering tribes in their initiatives of taking out Negan. Surely, with a tribe as big as Negan's, there will be a mole within his camp. But who? According to the report, Dwight (Austin Amelio) could be it. There are also predictions that the gun crafter Eugene will play a big role in the war against the Saviors.

The midseason finale of "The Walking Dead" Season 7 showed someone in boots. While the series has a long history of overlapping villains, there are reports that the person in boots could be the big villain in "TWD" comics the Whisperers. Despite the impending war, teasing another villain would definitely keep fans on their toes.

"The Walking Dead" Season 7 will return on February 12, 2016, on AMC.
