The Walking Dead's 7th mid-season finale might not have left fans with a cliffhanger as intense as the season 6 finale, but it sure does left some mystery behind. Who is this mystery guy stalking Alexandria Safe Zone?
This question has been buzzing on fans' minds since the episode aired Sunday, October 12th. The mystery person seems to be the same person stalking Rick and Aaron when they got the supplies from a boat.
Later on the episode's post-credit scene, fans can see another mystery person who seems to be wearing the same pair of boots. Several fans state their theories online stating that the mystery person could be the "Garbage Pail Kids".
The Spoiling Dead Fans announced earlier this year that The Walking Dead season 7 was caught filming in two different locations off Murphy Ave at Atlanta. It seems like the Kingdom are involved in the filming as well as a huge group of extras wearing all black and some wearing hoods - these are rumored to be the Garbage Pail Kids.
The mysterious person seems to be wearing an all black hoodie. Although it is difficult to tell because of the dark. Another theory suggests that this mystery person could be a counterpart of Jesus.
Fans of The Walking Dead comic series by Robert Kirkman might be familiar with that post-credit scene. It was in the comics, after all. This mystery person was also stalking Alexandria from afar using binoculars.
This person was later on revealed to be "Jesus". However, Jesus is already on the show. A majority of the fans also suspect this person was Dwight, stalking the people at Alexandria before deciding to join them for war.
This would make sense as Dwight always wear boots. In the photos below, fans can see Dwight wearing his signature boots. Others suggest that this could be a member of the group who rescued Heath.
While all of these theories seem highly possible, fans won't find out until The Walking Dead returns on February 12, 2017. Until then, fans can continue to speculate who this mystery person is.
