"Iron Man 4" is one of the anticipated films from Marvel. Unfortunately, it was not part of the films that Marvel announced for Phase 3 but fans are still hoping for it. Meanwhile, some sources claim that Robert Downey Jr. is ready to move on from the "Iron Man" franchise and is currently occupied with "Sherlock Holmes 3."

According to Movie Pilot, the "Spider-Man" Homecoming" star Tom Holland has shared Easter Eggs about the future of "Iron Man 4." Previous reports suggest that a new female superhero, Riri Williams will replace Robert Downey's Jr. well-received character "Iron Man."

Well, Holland was spotted hanging out with Disney darling Skai Jackson, who will be playing as Riri Williams. Many took this as a hint that indeed, Tony Stark will be bidding goodbye for good. Williams is rumored to be the next "Iron Man" and finding Jackson hanging out with the "Spider-Man" actor only intensifies the report that having an "Iron Man" film with Robert Downey Jr. is very unlikely.

According to Aussie Network, Marvel already announced the titles of the films for Phase 3 and to the disappointment of many, "Iron Man 4" is not on the list. This only confirms the reports that Tony Stark might not return to the small screens anymore, despite the pleas from fans that they want RDJ to reprise his superhero role.

Reports have it that RDJ is demanding for a pay hike and Marvel is unwilling to give in. Some sources claim that Downey Jr.'s age is another factor. The actor is reportedly too old for another "Iron Man" film.

Well, if some think that Robert Downey Jr. is not fit for his superhero role anymore, the actor is too busy to care. RDJ told Collider that they will start filming "Sherlock Holmes 3" this year. There are no updates about the film but fans are hoping to see Detective Sherlock Holmes on the big screen soon.
