There's still a lot of waiting to be done for Kingdom Hearts 3, however it seems like all of the hype is going towards the impending Kingdom Hearts installment, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. With Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Chapter Prologue set to release this January, the hype for the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix successor grows stronger by the day, so much so that the ranking for Kingdom Hearts 3 has gone down to top 9 on the charts of Famitsu's Weekly Most Wanted games.

According to a report by Gaming Bolt, Kingdom Hearts 3 hasn't been doing so well on the charts as of late as it continues to find difficulty making its way into the Top 5 Famitsu Weekly Most Wanted videogames. Square Enix has been withholding too much information on the eleventh Kingdom Hearts installment, and it looks like gamers have been losing their patience with both the company and the game.

Unlike Dragon Quest 11 and Final Fantasy 15, it seems like Kingdom Hearts 3 is having trouble finding steady momentum to keep gamers excited over its release. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Chapter Prologue is doing much better right now as many anticipate its release in January next year. Meanwhile, Square Enix also seems to be focusing on the KH 2.5 remix successor, revealing trailers and posting Tweets about the game.

The latest video for KH 2.8 Chapter Prologue was released last week, featuring its gameplay and the exciting new ability to customize characters within the game.

The description for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts installment reads:

"Sora and Riku begin to prepare for their final battle against Master Xehanort. Aqua struggles to survive against the deceptions and terrors of the Dark World. The mysterious foretellers are threatened by a traitor within that will lead to the devastating Keyblade War."

Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Chapter Prologue is set to release in Jan. 24, 2017.
