Nerlens Noel got a taste of real hard court action Sunday night at The Palace of Auburn Hills as the Detroit Pistons hosted the Philadelphia 76ers. But, his highly-anticipated season debut was cut short by another injury yet again.

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Victor Oladipo also sustained an injury of his own after a scary fall during their game against the visiting Boston Celtics. The NBA western team was able to carve out a thrilling victory against their eastern counterpart, in a night where Russell Westbrook's triple double streak was halted to seven in a row.

Nerlens Noel Is Back In Action For His First-Ever Game Of The Season

"It felt good," the 76ers big man said after helping his team beat the Detroit Pistons in a convincing manner, 97-79, with his 8 points and a lone steal output. "You know, this is what I've been preparing for all summer and through the rehab process, so you know, it felt great to get out there," Nerlens Noel added as reported by CSN Philly.

Meanwhile, Nerlens Noel was quick to dismiss the left ankle injury he suffered. The 76ers forward-center said that it's just a minor issue and he expects himself to be ready for their next game on Wednesday, Dec. 14, against one of the top teams in the league, the Toronto Raptors.

Victor Oladipo Injures Wrist As Russell Westbrook Triple Double Streak Ends

It has been a cause of excitement for the Oklahoma City Thunder fans and a real sideshow to every game, but, unfortunately, all good things must come to an end.

Russell Westbrook failed to deliver with what could have been his eighth triple-double of the season. The Oklahoma City Thunder superstar still posted a just as impressive number of 37 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists in a won ballgame where teammate Victor Oladipo sprained his right wrist, wrote ESPN.

Victor Oladipo was brought to the Thunder dugout for concussion protocol mandated by the league. The Oklahoma City Thunder gunner was eventually cleared by the X-ray results. Russell Westbrook said that Oladipo is all right and he hopes to have him back next game.
