"Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 is slated to be released in 2017. Being one of the most anticipated anime films in 2016, fans did not react to its cancellation rumors lightly. But with production delays causing the premiere of the manga adaptation series to be pushed back, it is safe to conclude that there will be another season. Finally, fans can relax and read the manga while waiting for the upcoming release. (Spoiler Alert! The following contain details about "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3.)

"Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 Manga: Ken Kaneki is a college student who is dating Rize in a cafe. What Kaneki doesn't know is that Rize is a Ghoul who is a monster living on human flesh. He became a ghoul himself when "the red child" was transplanted into him. In "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 2, Kaneki died in the hands of Arima Kishou. Kakuja did not help Kaneki much with his battle against Arima. Being badly beaten up, Kaneki eventually died.

A new character will debut in "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3. His name is Haise Sasaki, a ghoul investigator sporting a black and white hair. Haise is a member of "Quinx Squad" which is a special team of CCG investigators. Indeed, he looks a lot like Kaneki - because he is Kaneki Ken! In the "Tokyo Ghoul" manga, when Kaneki was badly beaten up by Arima, he did not actually die. Arima took him to the Commission of Counter Ghoul and gave him a new name which is Haise Sasaki.

Haise Sasaki has amnesia, and he does not know his real identity - that he is a ghoul will leave him in peril. Now that in "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3, Kaneki is a ghoul investigator, what will become of him? When he becomes unruly he could die instantly. With his ghoul nature, he could easily get destructive. Will he be self-aware now that he is a ghoul investigator? Fans will know for sure when "Tokyo Ghoul" returns in March 2017.
