"Modern Family" has been delighting viewers since September 2009 and has continued to do so until now with its eighth season. The ABC mockumentary, however, is coming to a close and it's sooner than what fans think.

Eric Stonestreet, who portrays Cam, talked about the imminent future of "Modern Family" in a recent interview with People. The actor said each cast is now "sort of in the twilight of the show."

Stonestreet believes that "Modern Family" probably still has "one more season or "two more seasons," adding that the long-running series is "coming to an end" but when exactly would that be is still unknown at this point. He stressed that the whole "Modern Family" crew wants to "go out as strong, and positive, and great as we possibly can."

Stonestreet said that he and the other cast members are grateful and proud for being able to be in the show. "The Secret Life of Pets" voice actor said that he's "constantly being surprised by what the writers come up with after seven years."

Viewers will have to stay tuned whether "Modern Family" is really wrapping up in Season 9 or Season 10. Stonestreet is hoping that the show would be able to book Joe Manganiello, lead star Sofia Vergara's husband, for a guest spot before the series finale.

Stonestreet said that Manganiello frequents the "Modern Family" set and hangs out with the cast. They love to have the "Magic Mike XXL" actor as a guest star if his schedule permits him. If Manganiello's guest spot pushes through, Stonestreet believes that Cam and Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) would "certainly appreciate it."

Episode nine of "Modern Family" Season 8 will feature Manny (Rico Rodriguez) and Luke (Nolan Gould) as the organizers of the school's extravagant winter dance, with Gloria (Vergara), Cam, Mitchell, and Claire (Julie Bowen) helping out. Things, however, don't go to plan due to a texting error, SpoilerTV reported.

Gloria and Claire will try to set up the school principal with bossy mom Marjorie (Vanessa Bayer). Mitchell, on the other hand, feels anxious over being back in the high school scene because he sees a part of himself in the school bully. "Snow Ball" airs on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 9:00-9:31 PM EST on ABC.

"Modern Family" Season 8 will feature guest stars portrayed by NBA veterans DeAndre Jordan and Charles Barkley, as well as retired NFL quarterback Peyton Manning, News Everyday previously reported. What do you think of "Modern Family" possibly ending in Season 9? Share your thoughts below!
