Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron reunion is expected to happen in "High School Musical 4" despite the fact that Disney said that the upcoming sequel will feature new cast members. It is known that the upcoming sequel will no longer feature the original characters from the first three installments.

However, many fans and viewers are expecting that Efron and Hudgens will appear in cameo roles in "HSM 4." Many insisted that Efron and Hudgens have "High School Musical" to thank for since this is what opened the doors to a lot of opportunities for them in the industry.

As Us Weekly reports, many fans missed the 29-year-old actor from the latest "Hairspray Live!" movie. According to the publication, many viewers felt that the movie was better with Efron in it as Link.

Others expressed that the next movie will be better if Efron and Hudgens were in it if they would not reunite for "High School Musical 4." However, the only thing stopping these two from reuniting may be due to their split.

As Capital FM reports, Hudgens previously explained that she and Efron went through a messy breakup. According to the "Grease Live" actress, she was becoming someone she was not when she was in a relationship with Efron.

"I went through a phase when I was really mean because I was so fed up," she shared.
