Activision, the developer of the video game "Call of Duty" has recently announced that its update will be available on Dec. 13. The upgraded "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" will come with six additional maps for free. This game was originally launched with 10 maps and the six free maps that were added will surely enhance the gaming experience of the players.

The Updated Game Will Come With Six Free Maps

The six maps that will come free with the updated of "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" include Countdown, Wet Work, Bloc, Showdown, Pipeline and Strike. However, these maps are not the only ones that will accompany the video game. The Winter Crash map which is holiday themed will also make a comeback.

There are also two game modes that will be added to Hardpoint and Gun Game. With these additions, the gameplay of "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" will improve considerably. All these updates will be available on several platforms such as the Xbox One, PS4 and in PCs on Dec. 13, right before the holidays.

Some Gamers Feel That There Is Something Missing

However, many players of "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" feel that there is something missing in this latest update of the video game. They think that Activision should give them the option to buy the game without buying Infinite Warfare and its other expensive editions. According to them, COD4 is such a great game that they only wanted to play it without the need to return to the original series as they need to do now.

In other words, they are clamoring for the "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" to be available as a stand-alone before Christmas break, capitalizing on the holiday season. This may also attract those who are feeling nostalgic for the game at the same time. But it seems that this won't happen since there is no response yet from the Activision at this time.
