NetherRealm head honcho Ed Boon likes to keep in touch with the fans, and he has been posting poll after poll for any characters that people might want to see in the upcoming Injustice 2. Lately, he's asked fans which version of Robin they would like to see in the game, and the votes have called for an appearance of the Red Hood a.k.a. Jason Todd.

Among the top names on Boon's tweet are those of Damien Wayne's Robin and Nightwing as well. Red Hood won over 57% of 19, 591 votes with Nightwing at 25% and Damien at 18%. So far, the closest that fans have gotten to Red Hood being in a video game was his appearance in Rocksteady's Arkham Knight. Nightwing has appeared in the first Injustice game, and Damien Wayne hasn't been featured in any games at all.

Jason Todd is more popularly known as the Robin that the Joker had clubbed to death with a crowbar in the comics. Todd was then resurrected in Ra's Al Ghul's Lazarus Pit and he came back to Gotham to take his revenge on everybody that had wronged him. Unlike Batman, the Red Hood is more brutal when it comes to his attacks on criminals and he is not above killing his enemies.

Interestingly enough, the Red Hood mantle previously taken by the Joker, and in Alan Moore's comic, "The Killing Joke," the Joker was disguised as the Red Hood before he fell into the vat of chemicals that made him insane.

Aside from Red Hood, Boon has been teasing several other characters that could make it to the game that aren't even from the DC Universe. Other names that have popped up in the polls are Hellboy, Spawn, and Arnold Schwarzenegger's T-800 Terminator.

No official release date has been announced for Injustice 2,but fans guess that it could come out sometime in early 2017.
