'Stranger Things' Season 2: Release Date, New Cast Updates, And Who Is Coming Back?

'Stranger Things' is a sci-fi, horror web television series produced by Duffer Brothers. It is written and directed by Ross and Matt Duffer and produced by Shawn Levy. 'Stranger Things' Season 1 was released on Netflix on 15 July 2016. On August 31, 2016, Netflix renewed the series for the second season of nine episodes, to be released in 2017.

The show is set in the 1980s, fictional city of Hawkins, Indiana and is a homepage to 1980s pop culture. The season follows the disappearance of a young boy, and the appearance of a telekinetic girl, who helps his friend in search, while the kid's mother, his older brother, and town police chief start their investigation.
It's been confirmed that the kids of the 'Stranger Things' will be returning for the second season of the

'Stranger Things'. Caleb McLaughlin, Finn Wolfhard and Gaten Matarazzo will be returning as Lucas, Mike, and Dustin. And of course, Millie Bobby Brown, who played the mysterious and powerful 'Eleven', will also be back. It was declared that Linnea Berthelsen, Paul Reiser, and Sean Astin had been cast for 'Stranger Things' Season 2. Astin will be playing as the manager of the Hawkins Radioshack. Reiser will be playing as Dr Owen who is an official in Department of Energy and Berthelsen will be playing as a young woman who had traumatic experiences as a child that affect her as an adult..She is not a citizen of Hawkins, but she is connected to the supernatural event happened around Hawkins.

The Hollywood Reporter also reported that a fourth character to be added to 'Stranger Things' Season 2, Brett Gelman will be performing as Murray Bauman. Murray Bauman was a journalist but became a conspiracy theorist after he was demoted. Bauman will investigate an old incident that occurred in Hawkins. And Dr Martin Brenner is expected to return, which means that Demogorgon may not have killed him.
