Target has confirmed that it will be selling the Classic Mini NES from December 12 through its online store. However, this stock allocation is for the retailer's Australian online operations only. Target Australia stresses that this new batch of NES Classic will be the last for this year.

Target Australia advises customers to have an online Target account before December 12 in order to purchase NES Mini. Readers of Australian website Vooks sent screenshots of conversations with Target customer service confirming the good news. Those who are based in the U.S. will incur additional shipment costs.

Meanwhile, Eurogamer reported that the Nintendo 3DS Switch will offer GameCube games on its Virtual Console. The Nintendo handheld system has classic titles like "Super Mario Sunshine, "Luigi's Mansion," and "Super Mario Bros. Melee." It is also rumored that lifestyle sim "Animal Crossing" is being prepped for the Virtual Console.

GameCube emulation on the Nintendo 3DS Switch is rumored to be developed by Nintendo's European Research Department, which designed the NES Mini. The retro gaming console faced several issues but its game emulation had no problems. This posits a promising future for GameCube emulation on the 3DS Switch.

In another Nintendo development, the Japanese gaming giant partnered with HackerOne, to set up a bug bounty program for its 3DS Switch handheld gaming system. Nintendo will offer $100 to $20,000 to those who can find vulnerabilities on the 3DS Switch. These hacks include weaknesses in Nintendo's software and glitches in the ARM V9 and V11 processors.

According to Nintendo, the program aims to create a better game-play experience. The 3DS Switch maker wants to prevent the distribution of inappropriate materials to kids and to stop 3DS modding and cheats. Nintendo reiterates that they do not want their customers to be victimized by cyber criminals.

The Nintendo 3DS related bug bounty program is discussed in the video below.
