Microsoft phones have fall back way behind Apple and Samsung in terms of popularity in the past few years. However, with the tech giant introducing their revolutionary Surface Studio, users who were attracted to its features and capabilities are now begging for a Microsoft Surface Phone.

With Microsoft tablets getting a lot of attention right now, specifically their Surface Studio and Surface Book models, it is not impossible for the tech company to produce the same premium kind of device in a form of a phone. Good news to those who are really anticipating for the release of the device as Microsoft CEO Satya Naella has already confirmed that the production of Microsoft Surface Phone with partner Pegatron is already underway.

Critics are expecting that the release of Microsoft Surface Phone will be a big blow to Samsung and Apple since Microsoft's Surface models have already made a name in just a short period of time. In fact, reports say it will replace Samsung's Galaxy Note series in terms of usability.

It is also mainly because Surface models always come with the "Surface Pen" which allows artists and professionals to use it like a sketch pad or notepad. Aside from this, reports have also noted how Microsoft made a lot of changes and additions in their Windows 10 anniversary update. The update already includes note and sketch-related apps such as Screen Sketch, Sticky Pad and Sketchpad.

Aside from Samsung users getting interested with the Microsoft Surface Phone emergence, it seems like Apple users are also digging deep into some of Microsoft's Surface Phone 2017 leaks. Reports have allegedly revealed a patent image of how the Surface Phone 2017 will look like.

The image shows where the Surface Pen and the headphone-charger port are to be placed. The page link of the original post is now broken and there are allegations coming out that Microsoft must have requested the site owner to take the leaked image down. But it's too late since there are already several reports who were able to grab the image. Microsoft Surface Phone is slated to be released next year.
