Donald Trump, who just won the recent elections as the president of the United States, will have the whole world talking again. As he has been the hot topic during the elections, he is going to be the talk of the town once again. The new US President has been named as Time Person of the Year.

It has been a tradition for Time Magazine to select one person or idea and feature it on the cover of their magazine. The cover, mostly a person, is chosen based on the influence it has made on the news all over the world, regardless if the influence is positive or negative.

According to Trump being selected as the Time Person of the Year and being on the cover of the magazine is a remarkable honor for him, as reported by Today. However, Trump was labeled as the "President of the Divided States of America" by the magazine, which is printed under his name.

Trump says that he did not really divide the states of America as literally perceived in the label. The US president-elect also added that the states of America are currently divided and there is a lot of division, and he is going to put them back together.

And with how Time Person of the Year was chosen, an essay in the magazine itself entitled "The Choice" written by managing editor Nancy Gibbs asked, "So which is it this year: Better or worse?" The essay also reveals that this year will mark the magazine's 90th time to name a person with great influence and put it on Time's magazine cover. The essay also discussed both views from the people, from those who seeTrump's presidency for the better down to those who see it to the worse. Views from his believers and detractors were also described, as quoted in USA Today.

The news site also reports that Time has also chosen Hillary Clinton as Trump's runner-up as the Time Person of the Year. Clinton is also Trump's runner-up on the US presidential elections. Donald Trump has also been on the magazine's cover as the Time Person of the Year, with his first designation way back on 1989.
