'Steven Universe' Season 4 Episode 9 Recap; Spoilers Say Episode 10 To Dig More Of Steven's Past; Still On Long Break Rumors
While "Steven Universe" Season 4 Episode 9 offered fans with a very heartwarming narration of Steven's first winter with the gems and Greg, the endless rumors about "Steven Universe" cancellation is still looming and breaks most fans hearts.
To recall, "Steven Universe" Season 4 Episode 9 titled "Three Gems and a Baby" showed how Greg struggled with taking care of baby Steven alone. It was winter time when he's had his first walk as a father of Steven, without Rose's presence. Despite this, the Gems (Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl) tried to be there for Greg and Steven. They first welcomed baby Steven by showering him with gifts, however, Greg later found out that the Three Gems does not have any idea how to raise the baby, thus the gifts could not serve Steven.
While Greg was explaining why he cannot just let Steven grow immediately (just as what the Three Gems want things to happen), he tried to cling some keys together and showed how it can make Steven very happy. The gems joined Greg with the fun of making Steven laugh until Steven glowed. Of course, Greg got frightened about the whole situation since normal human babies never glow. Because of this, the gems immediately concluded that Rose is somewhere just inside Steven.
Wanting to understand the situation even more, the Three Gems tried to take Steven with them. When Greg found out, he was furious and he immediately followed the Gems. The gems tried to take the gem out of Steven's body, however, when Steven giggled, they cannot risk hurting him. Later on, they just settled with the idea that Steven is Steven; Rose is a different story.
After looking back to what happened during that winter time, the narration in Episode 9 went back to the present time and the conversation about Steven's first and other frightening baby experiences that were shared by the Gems and Greg. This reveals much about what will possibly happen next in the upcoming episodes of "Steven Universe" Season 4. However, no official announcement is made yet about when the next episode will be aired on Cartoon Network.
