The now recalled and in production limbo, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will probably take a step back as the Samsung Galaxy S8 has been creating such a buzz in the tech industry rumors.

The Korean tech conglomerate is set to get rid of the headphone jack in the Galaxy S8. This will definitely free up space for more components and a larger battery especially as the jack had a size of 3.5 mm. This will allow for the Galaxy 8 to have a bigger battery and loud front-facing stereo speakers. Samsung is also been rumored to get rid of the home button and will instead secure a finger recognition system on the display. The design will not have any outside frame which would mean that Android users will have an edge-to-edge screen. This latest device is dubbed as the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. Samsung is rumored to go for a screen size of the S8 to a 5.5 inch screen and a 6.2 inch screen.Hopefully, Samsung will get things right.

According to IT PRO, Samsung may have indirectly found the reason on why their units get caught on fire, as a consultancy firm has suggested. The problem may have come from the Samsung Note 7 battery itself. The battery is composed of a positive layer of lithium cobalt oxide, a negative layer made of graphite, and another layer to separate those two materials. The layer in the middle allows energy to flow between the positive and negative layers. But if both layers get in contact with each other, it would cause the battery to heat and that could lead to an explosion to the phablet, according to the firm. Samsung recalled the 2.5 million devices containing SDI batteries and swapped them for Note 7s containing batteries from a different supplier.
