Hand-In-Hand Christmas Treat From Marvel And Netflix! Renewed The Hero For Hire, Luke Cage Season 2!

Fans are getting an early Christmas present from Netflix. The multinational entertainment company has announced on their Facebook and Twitter accounts last Sunday that Luke Cage is finally coming up with its second season, but no release date has been given as of now. The American web television series is based on the Marvel's comics character with the same name.

The Harlem hero is a product of a sabotaged experiment which has given him a bulletproof body and super strength. The American former music journalist who later turned into television writer, producer, and director Cheo Hodari Coker, is the creator of the series for Netflix. The series is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios.

The Luke Cage is the third one of Netflix series behind Daredevil and Jessica Jones, starring the American actor best known for his roles in The Good wife and Ringer, Mike Colter. The series cast includes Mahershala Ali, Simone Missick, Theo Rossi, Erik LaRay Harvey, Rosario Dawson and Alfre Woodard. The series will be followed by Iron Fist before heading into the miniseries, The Defender. Originally, Luke Cage series was intended to be the fourth of Netflix Marvel's line up which is supposedly after Iron Fist, but it was moved after Cage was introduced in Jessica Jones and made a hit and received positive reviews from audiences which made the series actor an instant star.

 The first season was premiered last September 30, 2016, and was all about Luke Cage becoming fugitive and was trying to reassemble his life but later drawn out in the shadows where he must fight for his city which leads him to look back in his past that he once tried to forget. As the story goes in its first season, fans are expecting more revelations and actions on season 2 which is definitely will be given by the creator of the show.
