Kuroko’s Basketball: Last Game Film Teaser Officially Release! Release Date and Update; Details Here

The 39th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is showing the title of the anime adaptation of Tadatoshi Fujimaki's Kuroko no Basuke Extra Game. In this film, Tadatoshi Fujimaki's Kuroko's Basketball finally ends. A brand new teaser PV was officially released entitled, Gekijōban Kuroko no Basuke Last Game (Kuroko's Basketball: Last Game).

 

The video revealed the two members of Jabberwock team from America. Hikaru Midorikawa as Nash Gold Jr., point guard for Jabberwock, and Tetsu Inada as Jason Silver, the center for Jabberwock. Anime's official website recently revealed the film highlighting Kuroko, Midorima, Akashi, and Murasakibara wearing the Vorpal Sword uniform.

Before the film will be release, a trilogy of KuroBaske films will be shown in Japan. The first film is the Winter Cup Compilation trilogy titled, Kuroko's Basketball: Shadow and Light, which will screen from September 3-16. The second film is titled Beyond the Tears will screen from October 8-21. And the third film is titled Crossing the Door will screen from December 3-16.

The story started with an American basketball team named Jabberwock that went to Japan and plays a friendly game with the Japanese team, but right after the Japanese team lost, team members of Jabberwock start teasing Japanese basketball. Jabberwock's statement angered Riko's father, and so he made a way to gather and team up again the five members of the Generation of Miracles including Kuroko and Kagami, named Vorpal Swords, to crush the team Jabberwock.

Meanwhile, Chief Supervisor of the team is Tadatoshi Fujimaki, and he will be writing "original episode" for the film. Shunsuke Tada will be directing the film at Production I.G. Yoko Kikuchi is back to create the characters, and Yoshihiro Ike is back from previous season 1 and 2 to compose the music. Noboru Takagi is also returning to take charge of the series composition.

Viz Media has already licensed the manga for distribution in North America. An anime film adaptation of Kuroko's Basketball. Premiering date of Extra Game manga in Japan will be on March 18, 2017.
