'Quantico' Season 2 Episode 9 Spoilers, News & Updates: Show canceled until January 2017? Moved To Another Timeslot?
“Quantico” has had a lot of turmoil both on camera and in the real world. Big changes are planned to the show’s plot, but, what else is there to expect from the series?
First news on "Quantico” comes from Variety. They announce that the show will be moved from its usual time slot on Sundays. Instead of that, the show will air on Mondays, taking the timeslot which was before occupied by another ABC production called “Conviction”. As far as the future of “Conviction” is concerned, the creator of the series says that the show has not had additional episodes ordered and its second season will end with the 13th episode. Even though it is sad news, which puts “Conviction” one step away from termination, the new timeslot could help “Quantico” get some additional exposure and gain new fans.
Cinema Blend shares that things do not look too bright for “Quantico” either. The show’s current timeslot has shown to be less than desirable for viewers, since in airs at 10p.m. on Sundays. Its highest ratings do not go higher than 1.0 where the mid-season finale, managed to accumulate a rating of 0.7. The series success hides in DVR, through which fans have been watching the episodes of the series, after the official premiere. That is one of the reasons for the show to still be on air. It manages to attract viewers, but not in the desired time. The change is a try-out by ABC to see if it will have a positive effect on ratings. If not, one can only guess about the future of the series.
Inquisitr reassures fans of the series, that the repositioning of the series is not a death sentence. It is usual for networks to experiment with their shows in January, trying to find the perfect spot for each of them. Not long ago, CW changed the timeslot of “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals”, trying to find a more suitable place for them, where it will be possible to attract the attention of viewers. This should be considered more as a positive move than an omen of the show’s end.
“Quantico” Season 2 Episode 9 will air on 23 January on ABC.
