'Steven Universe' Season 4 Episode 9 News, Updates & Recap: Greg & The Gems Struggling With Parenting
Steven, young half-human, half-Gem bequeathed his gemstone from his mother, the Gems’ former leader Rose Quartz. Steven spends his days with his human father Greg, his friend Connie and other people and Gems when he tried to figure out his powers. When he explored his powers, he realizes that one of his themes was fusion, the ability of Gems to merge their identities and bodies to form a new and more powerful personality.
According to Entertainment Weekly, in the episode named “Three Gems And A Baby” hit Beach City. But this wasn’t the first snow, when Steven was just a few months old, it snowed so hard Greg thought they are gonna become Snowman and Snowman Jr.
According to A.V. Club, after the fall special, you got to see another season of “Steven Universe” and this time it’s a flashback to the winter after Steven was born. This episode is named “Three Gems And A Baby” and it’s a little less funny than that headline but it’s still pretty good. The episode begins with Greg trying to get through his first winter with baby Steven. Greg had no idea how to take care of himself, not to mention another human being, but, learning to take care of something new means all sorts of new practices. A special gift arrived in their home from Rose, Amethyst is obliviously peppy, while Pearl is noticeably downcast and Garnet is doing her best to keep it together. Panicked and unsure about what to do, the Gems kidnapped Steven and rushed him in the cold.
When Steven asks what their actions are the Pearl tries to soft-pedal it but Amethyst blabbed “We straight-up ’napped you.” At the end of the episode, Steven reminds everyone that he is changed a lot since then, and he is still changing but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t need Greg anymore or the Gems don’t support him as part of his family. The most important thing is you can only see how far you have come by taking a moment to remember where you started.
According to iDigital Times, the end of the last episode is probably the most important. It shows that Gems can change, they do change and they have changed. Comparing the Gems in the flashback, the difference is huge, especially in Pearl.
