EA Reveals Trailer For New And Last 'Star Wars Battlefront' Expansion ‘Rogue One: Scarif’

Electronic Arts (EA) recently announced that it will be taking a break from releasing updates, expansions, or even new games with its “Battlefield” franchise. The reason behind this is because they want to focus on developing the new game for “Star Wars: Battlefront”. The sequel to the said “Star Wars” game is being worked on right now as it is planned to release next year.

A short while after its announcement, EA has revealed a new trailer pertaining to the current “Star Wars: Battlefront” video game. The publisher clearly has no intentions of stalling the developments for this video game series. With the impending premiere of the new “Star Wars” movie, they are trying to make sure to keep up with schedule.

The new trailer is clad in a theme inspired from the “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”. It is the fourth expansion for the 2015 “Star Wars: Battlefront” video game. It has also been announced that this expansion pack called “Rogue One: Scarif” will be the last downloadable content update for the aforementioned video game.

The two-minute trailer took fans on a sneak peek on the new “Star Wars” timeline. It teased on what to expect from the new expansion. Since it was inspired from “Rogue One”, it will comprise of a new map, new playable characters, new vehicles, new skins, and probably a new battle mode.

The update will feature playable character Jyn Erso and Orson Krennic, who are the two of the main characters in the upcoming “Rogue One” film. Jyn Erso is from the Rebel Alliance while Orson Krennic is the director for the advanced weapons research for the Imperial Army. EA has also hinted that the new content might include a new mode, which is a multi-stage game mode that is similar to its latest Death Star expansion pack.

Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: Scarif”, which is the final DLC expansion pack will be released on Dec. 6 exclusively for season pass holders. It will become available for everyone else on Dec. 20.
