Nokia's comeback is real. The Finland- based company has announced that Nokia will be making its comeback on 2017 and will be surprising consumers with their tablets and smartphones on Android operating system.

According to The Verge, Nokia is set to return to business on May 2017, to introduce their first Android headsets, with the help of their licensing with HDM Global which will last for a decade.

Nokia is set to transform its site by adding a new phones section. The new phones section will soon showcase Nokia's new phones and tablets, transitioning from Windows operating system. The news site also reported that the newest Android Nokia phones will be released by the first half of 2017, together with their feature phones.

The Finland- based company has already released Android phones before Nokia was acquired by Microsoft but was not a hit as much as Samsung was when they introduced their smartphones.

In 2011, Microsoft acquired Nokia which, according to BBC, was not a good idea since most of the consumers were already hooked with Android and iOS phones. The report also indicated that Nokia's competition in the business heightened when Apple launched iPhones in 2007.

On the other hand, the report also quoted that Nokia's customers and sales have been declining around 15 percent a year, but says that the business is still healthy and manageable.

Though Nokia's licensing with HMD Global has been approved, the company will not be the one to manufacture the Android phones and tablets, thus taking charge in building the design of the devices and marketing.

Meanwhile, Tech Radar reports that rumors say Nokia will be releasing two Android phones earlier in 2017. Rumors say that the device will be called Nokia D1C, which is expected to be released in two different configurations and will have a metal body, frame and polycarbonate back.
